Spark the Change Colorado‘s Mental Wellness Program increases health equity by engaging skilled mental health volunteers to provide quality, accessible, and affordable mental health services to people experiencing barriers to care. Services include pro bono counseling for individuals, couples and families, support groups, community partner support, workforce development initiatives, and continuing education opportunities for mental health professionals.
Supported by a grant from the Caring for Denver Foundation, Spark the Change Colorado is expanding access to mental health care and strengthening the mental health workforce. With this support, they work to remove barriers to care and reach a broader and more diverse population of underserved Denver residents by increasing the number of volunteer mental health providers and creating essential supports for mental health practitioners.
